Candy-loving kids linked to later violence

A new research suggests, children who eat too much candy may be more likely to be arrested for vilonet behaviour as adults.
For about four decades British experts studied more than 17,000 children born in 1970. out of the children who ate candies or chocolates daily at the ge 10, 69% were later arrested for a violence offence by the age of 34. Of those who didn't have any violent clashes, 42% ate sweets daily.
The study was published in the October issue of th British Journal of Psychiatry and was paid for by Britain's Economic and Socail Research Council.
The researchers said the results were interesting, but more studies were needed to confirm the link. Simon Moore from the University of Cardiff, one of the paper's authors said that "it is not that the sweets themselves are bad , it is the more about interpretingg how kids make decisions."
According to Moore parents who continuously bribe their children in to good behaviour with candies could be doing harm. That might prevent kids from learning how to defer gratification, leading to impulsive behaviour and violence.

  1. Parents have a big role in moulding their children to become a good person as they grew up and we must also be a good example though it is sometimes hard to be one.
